资源简介:
This dataset contains the boundaries of biotope protection areas in the New Aquitaine region. A Biotope Protection Area (BPA) is one of the protected natural areas (ENPs) that are designated or managed within an international, Community, national or local framework with a view to achieving specific objectives for the conservation of the natural heritage. The purpose of the biotope protection area is to conserve the habitat of protected species. It is a regulatory protection tool at the departmental level, the implementation of which is relatively flexible. It is one of the priority protected areas of the Protected Areas Strategy (SCAP) and is classified as IUCN Category IV as a management area. Most biotope protection areas are monitored either directly through a committee under the authority of the Prefect or indirectly through schemes such as Natura 2000 and through local ownership. In the case of a biotope protection order defining several zones where separate rules apply (e.g.:rivers on the one hand and watershed on the other), the geometry to be used to map the protection area corresponds to the largest geographical envelope. Legal references: Articles L411-1, L411-2, R411-15 to R411-17 and R415-1 of the Environmental Code. This dataset contains the boundaries of biotope protection areas in the New Aquitaine region.
