MODIS Cloud Regimes (CRs) and Cloud-Precip Regimes (CPRs)
收藏资源简介:
MODIS Cloud Regimes (CRs) and Cloud-Precipitation Regimes (CPRs). Based on 2D joint histogram of CF by COT and CTP (and combined with precipitation frequency histogram in the case of CPR), k-means clustering algoritm was used to classify clouds into limited number of regimes. Regionally there are two versions: derived in 15S-15N and 50S-50N, and also there are two versions of CPRs by the weight of precipitation part: Pr6x1 and Pr6x7. In the case of Pr6x7 CPRs, it was found that some regimes having moderate-to-heavy precipitation can be predicted by precipitaiton information only (See Jin et al. 2021). Hence, predicted CPRs are added to the original CPR set. All data are at 1-degree resolution, available from 07.2002 to 12.2024 with IMERG version 07B. Python_code_examples+Pics.zip contains figures of regime centroids and RFO maps, and python code to produce these figures. Jin, D., Oreopoulos, L., Lee, D., Tan, J., & Cho, N. (2021).
