Type I inteferon signaling in airway neutrophils in an in vitro model of ARDS

To investigate the contribution of type I interferon to neutrophil adaptation to the lung during ARDS and COVID-induced ARDS. Blood neutrophils from healthy donors were isolated and transmigrated in vitro towards ARDS airway fluid derived from patients supplemented with control human IgG (IgG cells) or with Anifrolumab (IFNAR cells). Each donor was transmigrated towards both conditions.
