The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is a track site management application (RATKO) in the track infrastructure management system. The location of the soft rows is indicated in the register using the track number and the starting and end points (km+m). The location tracks indicate the track IDs on which the soft area is located according to the track data register system. The mileage system of the Softikkö Register is a mileage system used in railway planning, based on the locations of the km poles measured on the terrain. Km+m data is always related to the length measurement track. This indicates the reading according to the length measurement system. The beginning and end point of the softness is determined by a geotechnical expert. The kilometre data at the beginning and end of the softness shall be reported as 0123+ 0456.
