Superiority of spatially fractionated over broad beam synchrotron radiotherapy

Transcriptomic response of tumoral and normal brain tissue, treated with the MRT irradiation or the BB irradiation, after 6 h, 48 h, 8 days, 15 days, using Affymetrix GeneChip® Rat 230_ 2. The orthotopic tumor-bearing rats were either treated with the MRT or BB radiation (MRT-treated tumors or BB-treated tumors), either untreated (Untreated Tumors). In the same way, the hemispheres without tumor received or not, irradiation treatment (MRT-Contralateral, BB-Contralateral or Untreated Contralateral). At different times after treatment, 6 hours, 48 hours, 8 days and 15 days, the tumors and their contralateral regions were resected and analysed for their transcriptomic response.
