StreetSurfaceVis: Data set of road images with annotations on the type and quality of the road surface

StreetSurfaceVis is an image data set containing 9,122 street images from Germany with annotations on the type and quality of the street surface. The dataset was developed for the training of classification models of road images with regard to the depicted surface. The streetSurfaceVis_v1_0.csv CSV file contains all image metadata. All images are available in three different sizes, based on image width, in 256px, 1024px and 2048px. The folders that contain the images are named according to the respective image size. The image files are named according to their Mapillary ID `mapillary_image_id`. The pictures in their original size are also available here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.11449977 The images are from Mapillary, a crowd-sourcing platform for street photography. Additional metadata for each image can be retrieved via the Mapillary API. The images are provided by Mapillary under the CC-BY-SA license. For each image, this dataset contains the Mapillary ID 'mapillary_image_id' and the Mapillary user name of the image creator 'user_name'.
