Water storage and routing within glaciers via planar voids, a new model of glacier hydrology

Seismic interferometry to extract Green functions between receivers RefTek 130 acquisition systems will be recording continuously in a grid ( 1000mX1000m) covering the cross section of the Bench Glacier. rock falls from the surrounding moutains, water traveling in and under the glacier bed provide seismic energy to image the interior of the glacier. These passive source data will be used in conjunction with an active source, high resolution 3D survey intended to image the internal conduits and fractures within the glacier that control water movement from the surface to the bed of the glacier.采用地震干涉法提取接收点间格林函数（Green function）的数据集：RefTek 130型地震数据采集系统将以1000米×1000米的网格布局，对本奇冰川（Bench Glacier）的横剖面进行连续记录。周边山地的落石以及冰川内部与床底流动的水体将提供地震能量，用于成像冰川内部结构。上述被动源数据将与主动源高分辨率三维勘探数据联合使用，该主动勘探旨在成像冰川内部控制水体从表面向床底运移的内部通道与裂隙。
