Early Intervention of the PKC-Hippo Signaling Alleviates Post-Traumatic Osteoarthritis

Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) is a progressive joint disease triggered by mechanical injury and characterized by inflammation and cartilage degradation. The Hippo signaling pathway and its upstream regulator Protein kinase C, zeta have emerged as key modulators of mechano-inflammatory responses in chondrocytes. This study aimed to investigate the dynamic regulation of the PKC-Hippo signaling axis following joint injury and to evaluate the therapeutic potential of targeting this pathway in early PTOA.
