Maladaptive upregulation of aminoprocalcitonin fuels seizure self-sustaining by boosting energy supply in refractory status epilepticus

To investigate the biological functions of aminoprocalcitonin (NPCT) and its parent peptide procalcitonin (PCT) in neurons, we stimulated rat primary hippocampal neurons at DIV7 with 1 nM NPCT and 1 nM PCT for 24 h, respectively. Alterations in transcriptomes were analyzed with RNA-seq.为探究氨基前降钙素（aminoprocalcitonin, NPCT）及其亲本肽前降钙素（procalcitonin, PCT）在神经元中的生物学功能，本研究分别以1 nM浓度的NPCT与1 nM浓度的PCT处理体外培养第7天的大鼠原代海马神经元，刺激时长为24小时。随后采用RNA测序（RNA-seq）技术分析转录组的差异变化。
