Microbial diversity and community composition of the sediment in Sayram Lake

The aims of this study were to: (i) characterize the diversity and bacterial community composition (BCC) of the surface sediment in this apline lake, (ii) determine whether there is spatial heterogeneity of the sediment BCC, and which major environmental factors control the variation of BCC.
