Disturbance data - New Zealand

This is an updated dataset based on the methods developed in de Beurs et al. (2016). We used MODIS Nadir BRDF-adjusted reflectance (NBAR) data for all 500m MODIS tiles that cover New Zealand. Compared to de Beurs et al. (2016) this dataset is updated for the new collection of MODIS data (Collection 6). In addition, we have extended the time series. The current disturbance index data ranges from 2001 - 2017. The data are available in UTM Zone S59 for the South island and UTM Zone S60 for the North island. Values over 3 indicate disturbance on the land surface.
