Higher Education General Information Survey (HEGIS): College and University Libraries, 1982/1983

<p>The College and University Libraries, Fall 1982 Survey is part of the HEGIS XVII package which is distributed to over 3,300 institutions of higher education located in the United States and its outlying areas. The basic data collected are on collections, staff, expenditures, and developmental areas for college and university libraries. These data function as a basis for making decisions about program priorities for libraries associated with institutions of higher education and provide a perspective on the current trends of operation of these facilities. In the past, they have also proved very helpful to library administrators in budget planning.</p>
