CERN-LHC. Measurements of differential cross sections of top quark pair production in association with jets by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC are presented as a function of the top quark transverse momentum, the transverse momentum of the top quark-antitop quark system and the out-of-plane transverse momentum using data from pp collisions at sqrt(s)=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2015 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb$^{−1}$. The top quark pair events are selected in the lepton (electron or muon) + jets channel. The measured cross sections, which are compared to several predictions, allow a detailed study of top quark production.

欧洲核子研究中心大型强子对撞机(CERN-LHC)数据集呈现了大型强子对撞机(LHC)上超环面仪器(ATLAS)实验针对伴随喷注(jet)的顶夸克对产生(top quark pair production)过程所开展的微分截面(differential cross section)测量结果,该测量结果以顶夸克横动量(transverse momentum)、顶夸克-反顶夸克(antitop quark)系统的横动量以及面外横动量(out-of-plane transverse momentum)为观测变量。本次分析所用数据采集自2015年LHC上ATLAS探测器获取的质心系能量√s=13 TeV的质子-质子(proton-proton,pp)对撞样本,对应积分亮度(integrated luminosity)为3.2 fb⁻¹。顶夸克对事例选取自轻子(lepton,包含电子或μ子)+喷注的末态通道。本次测量得到的截面结果与多种理论预言进行了比对,可用于顶夸克产生过程的精细研究。
