Modern urban water supply systems have complex distribution structures; problems exist due to lack of knowledge about the real performance of these system, namely, related to the impact of hidden water losses. The development of good measurement practices and the evaluation of uncertainty are needed to improve the quality of data and to increase confidence in results. In these water supply systems, there are usually several locations enabling the inflow and outflow of water, the management of which is concerned with the water demand and the net balance of the system. For this purpose, equipment is placed in multiple measurement locations to provide measurement data for the volume net balance calculation. This example illustrates how measurement uncertainty of totalization of volume at a single measurement point and combined in network systems can be easily evaluated, allowing non-expert users to be supported by more straightforward approaches. Files contained in the dataset are: Example_MU_A221_WaterSupply_Total_Volume.pdf: Report “Evaluation of measurement uncertainty in totalization of volume measurements in drinking water supply networks”; EMUE_A221_Dataset_Flow_DrinkingWaterConsumption.xlsx: File containing a subset of data related with flow measurement of drinking water consumption of a water supply provider; EMUE_A221_Dataset_Flow_ReservoirFilling.xlsx: File containing a subset of data related with flow measurement related to filling a reservoir of a water supply provider.
