Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) exhibit diverse impacts on the body, encompassing both advantageous and deleterious effects. Recent findings suggest that certain bacteria can circumvent the immune system by becoming entangled in NETs. Therefore, the primary objective of the present study was to assess the outcomes of a dual intervention involving anti-NETs therapy (DNase1) and antibiotic therapy in a murine model of abdominal sepsis.
