This dataset emanated from a research study towards the MSc Biomedical Technology of Ms Shahieda Terblanche. The thesis title was 'INVESTIGATING ELECTROCARDIOGRAM AND CERTAIN BIOMARKERS AS DIAGNOSTIC METHODOLOGIES TO ASSIST IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE'. As is apparent from the title the student collected data from a group of patients to assess whether biomarkers including ECG abd pathology biomarkers could assist in diagnosing mitral valve prolapse, which can currently only be done through the use of echocardiography. The ethics number for this project was: CPUT/HW-REC 2019/H30
