Reproducibility Package: Agent-Based Simulation of Urban Emergency Response: Infrastructure Decomposition and Multimodal Routing Evaluation

This dataset contains the complete simulation output data from a NetLogo 6.4 agent-based model (ABM) integrated with GIS, used to evaluate urban emergency vehicle response times under controlled infrastructure and traffic configurations in central Barcelona (Spain). The data supports the findings reported in the associated paper:"Agent-Based Simulation of Urban Emergency Response: Infrastructure Decomposition and Multimodal Routing Evaluation" (González Cuevas, Wong, Suppi, 2026). Contents (N=30 independent replications per scenario): - Scenario 1A (Baseline): free-flow conditions, no signals, no civilian traffic. 1,250-metre urban corridor (BSS-1 to EP-1, Eixample district). Mean response time (RT) = 124.5 ± 1.8 s (CV 1.5%).- Scenario 1B (Signals only): 4 active traffic signals, no civilian traffic. Mean RT = 144.5 ± 13.8 s. Signal delay ΔS = +20.0 s (+16.0%).- Scenario 1C (Full scenario): 4 active traffic signals with calibrated AM-peak congestion (~24,660 civilian vehicles network-wide). Mean RT = 201.3 ± 36.5 s (CV 18.1%). Congestion delay ΔC = +56.8 s (+39.3%). Ratio ΔC/ΔS = 2.84:1. The 1C distribution exhibits an emergent bimodal structure (GMM, k=2: μ=175.5 s, N=18 / μ=241.9 s, N=12; Cohen's d = 4.12).- Scenario 2A (Multimodal): vehicular dispatch to a handoff node, followed by a deterministic 35 s paramedic deployment and a deterministic 108 s pedestrian segment (1.2 m/s). T_veh = 172.1 ± 30.6 s, T_MM = 316.1 ± 30.6 s (CV 9.7% vs. 18.1% for purely vehicular response). Each replication records: response time (s), ambulance speed (km/h), civilian vehicle count, signal delay, route length, and multimodal segment durations. Raw per-replication outputs, recorded seeds and run manifests, and aggregated summary statistics included. Traffic calibration: hourly per-link density profiles derived from Barcelona's open aforament sensor network (246 sensors) via a six-tier provenance pipeline covering 39,733 directed edges over a 28-km² bounding box (Greenshields fundamental-flow inversion on measured intensities). MIT-licensed calibration pipeline included (77 unit tests, Dockerfile). Network data: OSM-derived node and edge files covering the full Barcelona street network (38,112 nodes; 41.374°N–41.438°N, 2.133°E–2.199°E), including road classification, speed limits, and lane counts.
