3' Targeted RNA sequencing of male and female rat brain (nucleus accumbens, prelimbic area, midbrain) with vehicle or polychlorinated biphenyl A1221 germline exposure

Male and female rats born from dams exposed to vehicle (3% DMSO in sesame oil) or the polychlorinated biphenyl mixture Aroclor 1221 (1 mg/kg) from embryonic days 8 - 18 and postnatal days 1 - 21. The uploaded data are from the second generation of rats exposed to Veh or A1221 via the germline. RNA was collected from brain samples of the nucleus accumbens core (NAc), midbrain (MB; substania nigra and ventral tegmental area combined), and prelimbic cortex (PL) at postnatal (P) day 90. RNA was analyzed using 3' targeted RNA sequencing to characterize changes in bulk gene expression in the sequenced nuclei after exposure to the endocrine-disrupting chemical A1221.
