Images and Site Records from an Archaeological Evaluation at Trefoil Way, Preston East, Lancashire, July-August 2022

This collection comprises images and site records from a thirty-trench evaluation at Trefoil Way, Preston East, Lancashire. This work was undertaken by Oxford Archaeology North in July and August 2022. The only feature of any real archaeological interest comprised a small pit in the north-west corner of the site. It produced no finds and a palaeoenvironmental sample of its fill contained no material with potential for scientific dating. The remainder of the features revealed by the rest of the trenches were largely linear in nature and, after investigation, generally found to be field drains or plough furrows of post-medieval or more recent date.
