Cloud Mask - MSG - Indian Ocean

The Cloud Mask product describes the scene type (either 'clear' or 'cloudy') on a pixel level. Each pixel is classified as one of the following four types: clear sky over water, clear sky over land, cloud, or not processed (off Earth disc). Applications & Uses: The main use is in support of Nowcasting applications, where it frequently serves as a basis for other cloud products, and the remote sensing of continental and ocean surfaces. From 1 June 2022, Meteosat-9 at 45.5° E is the prime satellite for the IODC service, replacing Meteosat-8 (located at 41.5° E while in operation).云掩膜（Cloud Mask）产品以像素级粒度描述场景类型，场景类型可分为晴空与云遮两大类，每个像素将被归类为以下四类之一：水面晴空、陆地晴空、云团，以及未处理（地球盘外区域）。 应用与用途：该产品主要支撑临近预报（Nowcasting）业务，常作为其他云产品的构建基础，并用于陆地与海洋表面的遥感监测。 自2022年6月1日起，位于东经45.5°的Meteosat-9成为IODC服务的主用卫星，接替此前在轨运行于东经41.5°的Meteosat-8。
