The Knopf Hill Hospital is visible on the hill to the extreme left beyond which the copula of the Clarence Hotel can be seen in the background. Several tall-masted sh"ips are docked and a man in a hat and coat, pictured in the extreme right, is standing on the second-story porch of a partially visible building. Picture file card reads: "on hill left is Knob Hill hospital. Ground in front of Front Street to north end of P.E.S.S.
