This series was created to reflect Council’s responses to local planning, constituent responses and other local government matters. Records include correspondence received and sent that addressed matters pertaining to local government administration of Burwood municipality, including naming of new suburb Burwood Heights, Bicentenary celebrations, workplace reform (maternity leave), and local planning. File numbers were allocated by significant Alpha, for example T files for Transport, followed by numbers and including Part files (eg. T22/1/1). Other systems were included and, when arranging the files for transfer, some top numbering was required. The council’s TRIM system required period dots (.) rather than dashes (/) when indicating parts. Documents are arranged chronologically within the folders.
