Derwent Estuary Recreational Water Quality monitoring program - New Norfolk Esplanade

New Norfolk Esplanade monitoring site is collected as part of the Derwent Beach Watch program. Derwent Beach Watch is a collaborative program between councils and state government that tests water quality at 18 swimming sites around the estuary during summer months.
Water samples are collected each Tuesday from the start of December to the end of March and analysed for the faecal indicator bacteria Enterococci (Enteralert method) at the Public health Lab. Because the samples must be cultured, it takes several days to publish the results.

新诺福克滨海大道监测站点(New Norfolk Esplanade monitoring site)的监测数据系德文特海滩监测计划(Derwent Beach Watch program)的采集内容之一。该计划是地方议会与州政府联合开展的协作项目，于夏季对该河口周边的18处游泳水域开展水质检测工作。
项目组于每年12月初至3月末的每周二采集水样，并在公共卫生实验室(Public health Lab)采用Enteralert检测法(Enteralert method)对粪便指示菌肠球菌(Enterococci)进行分析检测。由于水样需进行细菌培养，检测结果需耗时数日后方可对外发布。
