Daily Meteorological Records for Operational SMN Stations in Mexico (1991–2020) with NASA POWER Co-located Variables
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains daily meteorological records for operational weather stations of the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) of Mexico, covering the period 1991–2020.All records were obtained using the SMNdataR package, which provides direct access, retrieval, and harmonization of long-format station data from the national network. Each SMN observation was complemented with co-located NASA POWER variables extracted at the exact geographic coordinates of each station. This integration enables multi-source modeling, quality assessment, and development of hybrid meteorological datasets for machine learning, imputation, downscaling, and agroclimatic research. Contents The dataset includes, for each station and each day in the period 1991–2020: Metadata: station — SMN station identifier latitude, longitude, altitude date (YYYY-MM-DD) SMN observed daily variables: prec (precipitation, mm) tmax (maximum temperature, °C) tmin (minimum temperature, °C) evap (evaporation, mm) NASA POWER co-located variables: T2M_MIN, T2M_MAX (min/max temperature at 2 m) PRECTOTCOR (corrected precipitation) EVLAND (land evaporation) Data Characteristics Format: long format, one row per station-day Missing values: represented as "NA" Spatial coverage: all operational SMN stations with data in the period 1991–2020 Temporal resolution: daily Coordinate reference: WGS84 Data sources: SMN official daily records NASA POWER v2.0 global meteorology Intended Use This dataset is designed for: Missing-data imputation research Machine learning modeling of climate variables Hydrological and agroclimatological studies Time-series reconstruction Benchmarking of new imputation algorithms
