This dataset contains measurements collected for evaluating the strength of the polyaxial locking mechanism in a polyaxial locking plate. The measured variables include time, load, and stroke. The polyaxial locking mechanism was tested under a static load using a material testing machine (Autograph AG-I, Shimadzu Corp., Kyoto, Japan) equipped with a 10 kN load cell. The screws were inserted at angles of 0°, 5°, and 10°, creating three experimental groups; therefore, the data were also divided into three corresponding datasets. The dataset consists of three Excel files. The ultimate strength was measured under displacement-controlled loading at a rate of 0.1 mm/s. A static load was applied to evaluate the polyaxial locking mechanism at three screw insertion angles (0°, 5°, and 10°) until failure. For each implant, three holes on the ulnar side and the most distal row were used. The screw insertion angle was the same for all the implants. Each angle was tested nine times, owing to the sample size (n=3). Failure was defined as a decrease in force resulting from screw breakage or loosening.
