Transcriptome analysis of adult patients with severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea before and after CPAP treatment.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea, a sleep related breathing disorder RNA sequencing analysis was conducted to evaluate differentially expressed genes in patients with severe OSA compared to healthy subjects. We further evaluated how these differentially expressed genes and associated pathways altered with short-term (4 months) vs. long-term (24 months) continuous positive airway pressure treatment. Overall design: RNA profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells collected from blood at two different time points, morning and evening, from healthy subjects, patients with OSA, and the same patients following short-term and long-term CPAP treatment.
