The entomopathogenic oomycete Lagenidium giganteum is an aggressive entomopathogen of many mosquito species, including species that vector human diseases. It therefore has potential as a biological control agent, the use of which may also impact human health. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of L. giganteum strain ARSEF 373. This genome is estimated to be 126.23 Mb and to contain 2,779 contigs and 30,525 predicted protein-coding genes.
