Maniilaq (Alaska) COVID-19 and COVID-19 Vaccine Survey, 2023

This project was collaboratively developed by the Maniilaq Association, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, the University of Alaska Anchorage Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies, and the Alaska Native Science Commission. This research study was created to learn more about community members’ experiences with COVID-19 and the COVID-19 vaccination, with the overarching goal to to help inform Maniilaq Association as well as other Alaska Tribal health organizations during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary goal of this survey was to assess current regional knowledge, perceptions, experiences, and behaviors regarding COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccinations including facilitators/barriers to vaccine uptake, information sources, and perceptions of risk, and current concerns in Summer 2023. We also recruited participants for interviews on perceptions, experiences, and behaviors regarding COVID-19 vaccination.
