Body composition data for adult Sockeye Salmon returning to the Copper River, Alaska (2019-2021)

Over three years of study (2019-2021), adult sockeye salmon were lethally collected in the lower Copper River, Alaska and on spawning grounds throughout the upper watershed (n = ~10-20 individuals per collection event). The dataset consists of three separate .csv worksheets for each year data were collected. Each worksheet consists of essentially four groups of information: 1-fish identifier (ID), field collection date, and field collection location; 2-wet lab estimates of body size, sex, and reproductive parameters such as gonad weight and fecundity, identifiers for auxiliary information for otolith and scale collections, as well as estimates of percent fat based on readings from a Fat Meter - an external probe that uses a microstrip sensor that is sensitive to the water content of a sample and uses stored calibration data to convert the measured sensor value to a percentage fat/oil content; 3-dry lab information for freeze drier processing of ground somatic tissue samples for water and dry mass; and 4-dry lab information for energy density estimates of dried ground somatic tissue samples and a series of Benzoic Acid standards.本数据集基于2019至2021年三年的研究工作，在阿拉斯加州铜河下游及全上游流域的产卵场对成年红鲑（sockeye salmon）进行致死性采样，每次采集样本量约为10至20尾个体。数据集按数据采集年份分为三个独立的.csv工作表。每张工作表包含四类核心信息：1. 鱼类标识（ID）、野外采集日期与野外采集地点；2. 湿实验室测定的体长、性别及生殖参数（包括性腺重量、繁殖力等）、耳石（otolith）与鳞片（scale）采集的辅助信息标识，以及基于脂肪测定仪（Fat Meter）的脂肪百分比估算值。该设备为外置探针装置，搭载微strip传感器以检测样品含水量，并结合预设校准数据将传感器测量值转换为脂肪/油脂百分比含量；3. 研磨后躯体组织（somatic tissue）样本经冷冻干燥（freeze drier）处理的干燥实验室测定信息，用于检测样本含水量与干重；4. 干燥研磨后的躯体组织样本的能量密度（energy density）估算相关信息，以及一系列苯甲酸标准品（Benzoic Acid standards）的配套实验数据。
