Italy: exercising outdoors 2016

This statistic represents the share of Italians who have taken up a new sporting activity in 2016 in selected locations. According to the study results, the vast majority of new sport enthusiasts took up an outdoor fitness activity (84 percent), and one in four exercised at home. Italians are increasingly interested in fitness and wellness, and the number of people who are going to the gym or practicing a sport is on the rise.
