中国科学院微生物研究所菌物标本馆创建于1953年，由戴芳澜先生、王云章先生、邓叔群先生等将原中央研究院、北平研究院、清华大学和金陵大学收藏的菌物标本合并而成。本馆目前是我国及亚洲最大，收藏最全面的菌物标本馆，馆藏标本超过53.6万号，已定名标本37.5万余号，共计2000余属、1.56万余种，其中包括模式标本4481号，涵盖3291种。馆藏标本来自全国34个省市自治区及包括南北极在内的世界111个国家和地区；保藏范围包括卵菌、壶菌、接合菌、子囊菌、担子菌、地衣和黏菌等。

The Mycological Herbarium of the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was founded in 1953. It was established by consolidating fungal specimens previously curated by the Academia Sinica, the Peiping Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University and Jinling University, under the efforts of scholars including Professors Dai Fanglan, Wang Yunzhang and Deng Shuqun. Currently, it is the largest and most comprehensive mycological herbarium in China and Asia. The herbarium houses over 536,000 specimen lots, among which more than 375,000 have been identified. These specimens belong to over 2,000 genera and approximately 15,600 species, including 4,481 type specimens covering 3,291 species. The specimens in the collection originate from 34 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across China, as well as 111 countries and regions worldwide including the North and South Poles. The preserved taxa include oomycetes, chytrids, zygomycetes, ascomycetes, basidiomycetes, lichens and myxomycetes, among others.
