Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER)/VCR001: Long-Term Monitoring of Meteorology and Tides

LTER/VCR001: LTER Level-3 weather stations located at Brownsville (Nassawadox, VA) Phillips Creek (Nassawadox, VA), Hog Island and Oyster VA collect data each minute and log summaries every hour. Parameters measured include temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, solar radiation, and photosynthetically active radiation. Tidal stations at Hog Island and Red Bank VA collect tidal data every 12 minutes. Water temperature is also available from the Red Bank station.
