Southern Louisiana Marsh Food Webs: 2015 Food Web Sample Key

This dataset lists every sample that was collected in 2015 for the food web project within the Coastal Waters Consortium II. Each sample has been assigned a CWC ID Number and all information gathered at the time of collection is listed here (species name, collection date, site, etc). The samples include tissue samples of multiple consumers (fish, invertebrates, terrestrial vertebrates) as well as primary producers from salt marshes in southern Louisiana. The samples were collected using a variety of methods that are specified in the spreadsheet under “Gear”. All tissue samples were frozen at -80oC so they could be accessed at a later date for fatty acid [R4.x264.000:0014, R4.x264.000:0053], bulk stable isotope [R4.x264.000:0013, R4.x264.000:0054], and/or compound-specific stable isotope analyses. Fish stomachs were preserved in formalin so the contents could be identified and measured at a later date.
