Data and R scripts for climatic niche conservatism and refugial divergence in Mediterranean Cistus

This dataset contains cleaned occurrence records, R scripts, and derived tabular outputs used to analyse the geographic distribution, palaeoclimatic suitability, climatic niche dynamics, and spatial overlap patterns of Cistus albidus and Cistus creticus across the Mediterranean Basin. The files support occurrence data preparation, ensemble species distribution modelling, palaeoclimatic projections, TSS-thresholded binary suitability mapping, MESS-based extrapolation assessment, MESS-safe area calculations, spatial overlap analyses, and climatic niche analyses in environmental space.
