Low coverage genome sequence of the turquoise killifish, Nothobranchius furzeri. Nothobranchius furzeri strain:GRZ

Nothobranchius furzeri is a vertebrate with a very short life span in captivity, e.g. the GRZ strain, which we have started to sequence and genetically analyze, lives only up to 12-13 weeks in the lab, even under optimal conditions. With our work we want to contribute to establishing N. furzeri as an alternative vertebrate model organism for age research.
