We recently collected specimens of Clavulina on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Four taxa were recognized based on examination of morphological characters and the results of molecular phylogenetic analyses. In this work, we describe and illustrate Clavulina ilicicola as a new species. The nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) was sequenced from dried basidiomata.
