"Baziya. Tembu-Mädchen von Mputi mit ihrer kleinen Begleiterin auf dem Weg zum Kaufladen" ("Baziya. Tembu girl from Mputi with her little companion on the way to the shop"). A young woman wearing a short skirt, bangles on her arms and legs, necklaces and a headdress. Little bags and other things are tied around her waist. Her face is white painted. She is carrying a basket with something in it on her head. Beside her on the right side a child wearing a drapery, bangles and a headdress. He is playing an indigenous violin.; Wilhelm Friedrich Karl Blohm, born in 1884 in Keffenbrinck (Germany), was a carpenter. In 1911 he married Marie Bürger. He started his missionary work in 1911 in Unyamwezi (East Africa). After being imprisoned by the Belgians from 1916 till 1917 he returned to Germany. From 1922 till 1945 he worked as a missionary in Baziya (South Africa). He died in Baziya in 1945.
