Fiskekartan.se contains layers of Sweden’s fisheries conservation areas. The layer is comprehensive and must contain all areas. In southern Sweden, the respective water has usually been digitised by taking lakes and streams from the water layer of the property map. In northern Sweden, the areas are usually considerably larger and in those areas the outer boundaries of the areas are shown instead of individual ingoing waters. The layer has been produced by the Jönköping County Administrative Board and is continuously corrected if errors occur. The boundaries of the areas have been digitised from the fisheries conservation areas’ decisions on formation, statutes and ordinance maps. Thereafter, the County Administrative Board and the Fisheries Conservation Area Association have been given the opportunity to review the digitised border. Minor inaccuracies in the boundaries may occur.
