资源简介:
Site LA37767 was excavated in the summers of 1998 and 2001 by the ASU Eastern Mimbres Archaeological Project (EMAP) Field School. The goal of this project was to collect data from Mimbres Classic Period habitation rooms to illuminate the occupational and abandonment history of such sites in the Eastern Mimbres area. LA37767 is located on a basalt piedmont above the floodplain of the Arroyo Seco. This is a locally perennial stream, draining a portion of the Black Range of southwest New Mexico into the Rio Grande to the east. It is a multiple roomblock site, with at least three room blocks and two or three isolated rooms visible at the surface. In 1998 two temporally distinct occupations were identified and designated early (lower) and late (upper) occupations.
