Recession

Coastal cliff recession has been monitored along four markers on the Southern coast towards Young Sound since 1996. Until 2011 the perpendicular distance between the four markers and the edge of the coastal cliff was measured every year. Thereafter the sampling frequency has been reduced to every fifth year. The survey is always conducted in late August.自1996年起，科研团队针对朝向扬湾（Young Sound）的南部海岸沿线的4处监测标志物，开展海岸悬崖后退（coastal cliff recession）监测工作。1996年至2011年期间，每年均会测量该4处标志物与海岸悬崖崖缘之间的垂直距离；2011年之后，采样频率降至每5年一次。所有野外测量作业均于每年8月下旬开展。
