Carotid atherosclerotic disease is the manifestation of systemic atherosclerosis in the carotid arteries, accounting for more than 95% of all carotid artery diseases. Rupture of carotid atherosclerotic plaques can lead to ischemic stroke. Carotid plaques serve as a "window" reflecting systemic atherosclerosis, and risk assessment of these plaques will provide critical information for early warning of stroke and cardiovascular risks. Ultrasonic screening and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) are the primary methods for vulnerable carotid plaque assessment, risk prediction and early diagnosis. The carotid plaque ultrasound image analysis dataset plays a vital role in the early screening of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
