Fusobacterium nucleatum promotes malignant phenotypes in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the most common malignancies worldwide, with high incidence and lethality in global cancer rankings. Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) has been shown to be a promoter of ESCC progression and has been as-sociated with shorter survival in ESCC. However, the functional and molecular mecha-nism by which Fn is involved in the progression of ESCC remains poorly understood.
