Tomographic images from the BorealScat-2 Radar Tower

This dataset includes tomographic images from the BorealScat-2 radar tower in Svartberget, northern Sweden, observing a boreal forest stand. These are multilooked intensity images, making full use of the moving array featured by BorealScat-2. Images were acquired every 30 minutes during the growing season of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, all four linear polarisation combinations (HH, VV, HV and VH) and at three frequency bands: 1) P-band (420 to 450 MHz), UHF-band (582 to 630 MHz) and L-band (1215 to 1375 MHz). Associated meteorological and flux data can be downloaded from the ICOS data portal for station SE-Svb. The dataset allows investigations into how environmental conditions affect radar backscatter of boreal forests.
