NRS-733 | Register of references from the City Building Surveyor

Under clauses 27 and 29 of the City of Sydney Improvement Act the City Building Surveyor reported buildings, considered to be improperly constructed, or dangerous to the public, to the Board. This volume is a register of these references which constitute the series References from the City Building Surveyor, 1879-96 (4/6879-85). The register shows the reference number, date, the meeting at which it was disposed of, particulars of buildings, names of owners, members entitled to receive attendance fees, date when time allowed for payment of the fees expired, amount of fees, date of payment, date of distribution to members, date and number of cheques, remarks. The volume is labelled "General Register, References and appeals", but although provision is made for it in the layout, appeals are not registered. (4/6896; microfilm copy SR Reel 3709). 1 vol.
