Assessment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Using Salivary Aldosterone Levels

This dataset contains the raw data underlying the tables and figures reported in a cross-sectional study evaluating salivary aldosterone levels in adults with and without obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).Each row represents a single participant with one-time measurements collected at study enrollment. OSA status was determined using overnight polysomnography/home sleep apnoea test and used as the reference standard.The dataset includes individual-level salivary aldosterone concentrations measured in adult participants with and without OSA, along with corresponding demographic and clinical variables. OSA status was determined using overnight polysomnography/home sleep aponea test and served as the reference standard for diagnostic classification.Salivary aldosterone levels were quantified using ELISA according to the manufacturer’s protocol. These raw values were used to generate all statistical analyses.All figures and tables in the associated manuscript were generated directly from the raw data provided in this repository. The dataset structure enables independent reproduction of the reported analyses and graphical outputs.All data have been anonymized prior to sharing. Data collection was conducted in accordance with institutional ethical guidelines, and informed consent was obtained from all participants. The study protocol was approved by the Research and Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya with approval number DF CD 2411/0033 (P).
