The data were generated as a result of clinical measurements in the MINIATURA project financed by the National Science Centre. The project aimed to demonstrate whether it is possible to determine tear clearance rate (TCR) using a slit-lamp biomicroscope and whether the TCR parameter determined in this way can be used to distinguish ophthalmologically healthy subjects from patients with Dry Eye Disease.Dataset includes:Two ZIP files containing 5-minute videorecordings of the ocular surface of participants with a fluorescein-stained tear film recorded through a modified slit lamp biomicroscope. The participants were divided into a study group (subjects diagnosed with Dry Eye Disease) and a control group according to the clinical protocol recommended in the Dry Eye Workshop II report.a Python code created to track the tear fluorescence intensity over time based on the average brightness of the recorded fluorescein image and, as a result, to plot graphs showing tear clearance over time and save numerical data used to determine Tear Clearance Rate (TCR). The code was deposited together with the user manual.
