Spatiotemporal dataset of China's land resources by remote sensing monitoring

In order to understand and master the long-term change process of China's land resources and environment, study the process mechanism and explore scientific issues, the Land Resources Remote Sensing Application Team of the First Department of the Aerospace Information Innovation Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, after nearly 30 years of construction and accumulation, has built a long-term remote sensing monitoring database of land resources and environment in China since the late 1980s, which includes land use, land cover, soil erosion and other land resources and environmental factors. The database is mainly based on medium resolution remote sensing data as the main source of information, and is constructed using human-computer interaction full digital operations, land cover remote sensing mapping methods based on framework data control, and soil erosion remote sensing analysis models. In terms of the qualitative accuracy of mapping land resources and environmental elements, the accuracy of qualitative analysis for cultivated land and construction land should be higher than 90%, while the accuracy of qualitative analysis for other types should be above 85%. The database has the characteristics of consistent monitoring methods, multi period long time series, and multi topic complementarity.
