Supporting data for “Microbial Responses to Ocean Deoxygenation”.

These files contain all of the data presented in chapters from MPhil thesis entitled "Microbial Responses to Ocean Deoxygenation". Data are separated into three different files according to their categories. The "Geochemical data" file contains values of chlorophyll a, ammonium, nitrous oxides, and phosphate concentrations in seawater samples collected from coastal water at Aberdeen, Hong Kong. The "Microbiological data" file contains data yielded from microbial communities in coastal waters at Aberdeen, Hong Kong, including DNA concentrations, DNA sequences, operational taxonomic unites of the communities, and the diversity indices. In addition, cell density data collected from growth experiments of Saccharomyces cerevisiae are also included in this file. The "Respiration data" file contains respiration kinetics calculated from incubation experiments of Escherichia coli, Ruegeria pomeroyi, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and coastal microbial communities at Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Data are generated from environmental samples and pure microbial cultures, which without revealing any sensitive and confidential contents.
