The present invention relates to a meristematic cell line selected from tissue， preferably from callus tissue， of a plant belonging to the genus Melissa. The invention also relates to a derivative of the selected cell line， i.e. a phytocomplex or an extract of the cell line. The selected meristematic cell line is characterized by a high rosmarinic acid content. Furthermore， the present invention relates to the cosmetic， nutraceutical and medical use of the selected meristematic cell line or a derivative thereof.
