The 595 bow shock crossings which were not included into the database used for developing the models of Lu et al. (2019) are used to compare the performance of the corresponding models. These test shock crossing data points are from Cluster 3 (2001–2008) and Cluster 4 (2001–2012). The corresponding interplanetary parameters for each bow shock crossing are taken from the OMNI data base (http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/omniweb/).
